Hello! We are Claire & Sonya

Qualified Counsellors

Hello, and a warm welcome to our website. Our names are Claire and Sonya and we are Level 5 qualified Counsellors offering various methods of counselling and therapy to those in need.

Our aim is to work with clients to enhance their wellbeing, help them through any issues they are experiencing and work with them to make a positive change in their life.

We use a variety of techniques in our approach which ultimately depend on the circumstances. Following an initial consultation, we will assess the best method of practice for each individual and find the best way of working with them.

We can work with individuals on a one-to-one basis or in groups that could include couples, families, friends, colleagues. We also offer Counselling sessions to children and young people.

As well as face-to-face appointments we offer telephone and online meetings via Teams, Zoom or WhatsApp.

All sessions are strictly confidential and we can assure you that we will provide you with empathy, genuineness and no judgement.

We look forward to meeting you and hopefully working with you in the future.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Our thoughts and behaviours interact with one another and CBT can help to show that by changing the way we look at a situation, we can change how we behave and feel and better equip ourselves to cope with it.

Humanistic Therapy

This approach can help us to find our strengths and overcome our challenges. Put simply, it encourages us to be our best self by believing in ourselves.

Psychodynamic Counselling

This type of therapy looks into our past, working on the idea that our perceptions are developed throughout childhood.
It helps us to recognise our true feelings, which can often be buried deep in our unconscious mind, and bring them to the surface in order to process and understand them.

Why Choose Counselling?

Counselling can help with a range of issues and challenging situations and it focuses directly on you as an individual.  It provides a safe space for you to talk through your feelings and worries.  You may wish to make changes in your life but are unsure how to go about it. As Counsellors, we will encourage you to speak openly about how you are feeling and help to identify causes and issues.
Counselling can improve self-esteem, confidence, well-being, communication and management of emotions, and can provide relief from some mental and physical health conditions as well as grief and bereavement.
We will commit to providing you with a safe, comfortable and confidential environment to talk openly about your worries. We’ll listen to you and your needs, respect you and give you support. Rather than giving advice, we will help you better understand your emotions, and guide you to identifying ways of resolving your issues.
The most important thing to remember about Counselling is that you are the priority and sessions are guided by you. We will aim to ensure we build a good relationship with one another in order to establish trust, respect and openness.
