Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know Counselling is right for me?

Nobody can guarantee that Counselling will work for you, however, it is generally helpful for most people who feel they need to speak with someone. You may be feeling low, anxious, having relationship issues, uncertainty about life, stress, as well as other worries. You will hopefully benefit from Counselling sessions with a trained professional but if you still have concerns, book a consultation to see how you feel and if therapy is likely to help you.

How long will it take to feel better?

Counselling is a journey and the number of sessions required can differ for everyone. You may start to see an improvement after just one or two sessions but it can take a lot longer. We can explore your progress over time and review how comfortable you are feeling.

Can I ensure confidentiality?

Yes, absolutely.  All of our conversations are completely confidential and will never be discussed outside of the room.  The only time we would be duty-bound to take this further would be if we perceived you to be a risk to yourself or to others.

Can I stop when I want to?

Yes, absolutely. There is no obligation to proceed if you feel Counselling is not for you.
